Marmalade Oat Bread
I f you love the taste of orange, you would love orange marmalade. For my latest loaf of bread, marmalade oat bread, I added the marmalade to the dough to give the bread an extra sweetness. This is a great gifting bread for Mother's Day as well as a delicious breakfast or snacking bread.

Braided Buttermilk Loaf Bread
If you can braid hair, you can braid bread. The simplest way to braid bread is to roll the dough into three ropes, pinch one end together, braid, and then pinch the remaining ends together. That's what I did with the braided buttermilk loaf bread. Another method of braiding bread is to braid the ropes from center to end on both sides.

Small Round Rosemary Bread
Rosemary is probably one of my favorite herbs to add to my breads. My biggest problem is keeping my rosemary plants alive whenever I move and then having to find a nursery that has healthy plants to replace my dead ones. Until I can start my gardening, I'll concentrate on using up last year's herbs in my breads, such as my recipe for a small round rosemary bread. Very easy to make, I can make this loaf while holding holding the baby.

Cheddar Jalapeño Bread
Peppers. You either love them, hate them, or stick to the mild end of them. I play it safe and stick to the mild peppers, but I know plenty of people who love to make their eyes bulge and veins stick out by eating hot peppers. For them, there's cheddar jalapeño bread. This easy bread is great for parties. Serve it with beer and a tray of cheese.

Waffles Made with Lard
It used to be that I could only buy lard at the Amish store, but now two of the grocery stores I visit carry small tubs of lard, as well. Lard use is regaining its popularity in the Pennsylvania German communities as the younger generation is trying to recapture the delicious recipes of the grandparents and great-grandparents. This recipe for lard waffles is very easy to make and requires only the most basic ingredients, including lard.

Braided White Single Loaf Bread
My son loves braided breads for one simple reason: they are great tearing braids. Instead of serving sliced bread at dinner, the braided loaf is passed around and pieces are torn off of it and buttered. A simple braided loaf is this braided white single loaf bread. The recipe makes a 1-1/2 pound loaf - perfect for a family dinner.

Pumpkin Waffles
Craving waffles with a different flavor, I decided to whip up what some might think of as autumn or Halloween waffles. These pumpkin flavored waffles are so delicious, especially when served with butter and maple syrup, that you'll want to use the recipe during the entire year.

Small Round White Bread
There are many one or two people households that bake breads, but it's often difficult to find the right small batch bread recipe to make. This simple 1 pound loaf of white bread is very easy to make, either by hand or in a bread machine. You can also adapt this recipe and use different sugars or add raisins or any of your favorite dried fruits to it.
