I found an old pumpkin bread recipe written in one of my books and I began to experiment with it. The original recipe gave no indication as to the amounts of pumpkin puree and evaporated milk that was needed, and it needing a touch of spice. After three tries, I got the bread to taste almost exactly like pumpkin pie. My daughter immediately served it up with whipped cream and we made a night of eating delicious pumpkin bread and watching a movie.
