With only a little bit of kitchen yarn left over, I decided to quickly crochet one last dishcloth. I kept the pattern simple, but not boring, using only chain and hdc. The result was a lovely dishcloth I can use for cleanups on bread baking day. This pattern is also easy enough to make, crochets up quickly, and looks lovely enough for gift giving.
Yarn: Kitchen cotton yarn. I used Peaches and Creme cotton yarn, color Purple Petunia.
Size G crochet hook.
Note: Work all rows in back loop only of each stitch.
Chain 26.
Row 1: HDC in 3rd loop from hook. HDC across. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2: HDC across. Chain 2 and turn.
Pattern
Row 3: *HDC 2, ch 1, skip 1 HDC*. End with 3 HDC.
Row 4: HDC across. Chain 2 and turn.
Continue until desired length. End with a 2nd row of HDC across. Tie off and weave in ends.
