Baking banana bread is as addicting as eating it, and there seems to be no end to the types of banana breads you can make. This recipe for banana nut bread uses 3 large bananas and chopped nuts to give it its delicious flavor. Recipe is for 1 loaf.

Ingredients:
- 3 large bananas
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
Preparation:
- Preheat oven 325 degrees F.
- Grease one loaf pan.
- In large bowl, mash bananas.
- Blend in sugar and shortening. Mix in eggs and nuts.
- In medium bowl, mix together dry ingredients: salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour.
- Add dry ingredients into banana mixture and mix.
- Scrape batter into loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour or until inserted knife comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let set in pan for about 10 minutes.
- Turn bread out and let cool.
