Ingredients:
- 3 cups packaged biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup candied red cherries, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1-1/4 cups milk
Preparation:
- Grease 3 mini loaf pans.
- Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
- In large bowl, mix together the packaged biscuit mix and the sugar.
- Mix in walnuts and candied red cherries.
- In small bowl, lightly beat egg. Stir in milk.
- Beat liquids into dry mix.
- Scrape batter into 3 greased mini loaf pans.
- Bake mini loaves at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until done.
- Remove loaves from pans and let cool.
- If desired, the breads can be glazed. Mix 1/3 cup confectioners sugar with enough milk or water to make a thin icing. Spread icing on loaves while they are still warm.
