Cherry Walnut Biscuit Mix Mini Breads

Cherry walnut biscuit mix mini breads are easy quick breads made from store-bought biscuit mix. The extra sugar, candied cherries, and walnuts add all the flavor you could ever want in a dessert bread. This recipe for cherry walnut bread makes 3 mini loaves that are perfect for gift giving and bake sales.

Prep Time: 05 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups packaged biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup candied red cherries, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/4 cups milk

Preparation:

  1. Grease 3 mini loaf pans.

  2. Preheat oven 350 degrees F.

  3. In large bowl, mix together the packaged biscuit mix and the sugar.

  4. Mix in walnuts and candied red cherries.

  5. In small bowl, lightly beat egg. Stir in milk.

  6. Beat liquids into dry mix.

  7. Scrape batter into 3 greased mini loaf pans.

  8. Bake mini loaves at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until done.

  9. Remove loaves from pans and let cool.

  10. If desired, the breads can be glazed. Mix 1/3 cup confectioner’s sugar with enough milk or water to make a thin icing. Spread icing on loaves while they are still warm.
