This simple recipe uses one stick of butter and either milk or water to make a soft, spreading butter that can be stored in a covered bowl or plastic container.
- 1 stick (1/4 pound) butter, softened
- 2 tbsp milk or water
- After butter has softened to room temperature, put in small mixing bowl.
- Add either milk or water. Use mixer on slow then fast to whip butter until light and creamy.
- Store in refrigerator when not in use.
