Freezing Leftover Bread

Elizabeth Yetter
As a bread baker you will quickly discover that there is often leftover slices of bread, bread crusts, or bread ends. Instead of feeding these bits to the birds, freeze them for later use.

To freeze the leftover bread, simply keep a "leftovers" bag in your freezer. As you come across leftover bread ends or even slices, simply put the unused, leftover bread in the freezer bag.

When you have filled the bag with leftovers, pull it out, and begin drying the bread to make bread crumbs.
