French toast is a sweet, breakfast favorite for many people. What's more, it's very simple to make and it is a great way to use up bread that will spoil if not used right away.

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • Pinch each of cinnamon and nutmeg

In a shallow bowl or pie dish, lightly beat the egg. Add milk and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix together.
