This recipe is for a fantastic dinner quick bread that can be served alongside a ham dinner during Christmas, Easter, or any family get-together. While not too sweet, this bread has a delicious orange flavor that compliments the saltiness of the ham.

Ingredients:
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp butter, soft
- 4 med. eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup almond slivers
Preparation:
- Preheat oven 375 degrees F. Grease 8 X 8-inch square pan.
- In large bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix. Cut in butter. Add eggs and orange juice. Mix until flour is wet. Fold in almond slivers. Scrape batter into greased square pan. Make sure batter is spread evenly in pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
- Serve bread from pan or let bread sit for 10 minutes before turning out onto flat surface. Cut into 9 squares. Serve warm.
