English Cream Tea Scones Mix is an all-natural mix made by King Arthur Flour and it comes in a paper package with three recipes printed on it. Two of the recipes are for scones. The first recipe calls for salt, heavy cream, and 1 egg. The second scone recipe replaces the cream with milk and includes butter. There is also a recipe for using the mix to make a fruit cobbler.The mix is easy to use and makes a total of 8 scones. The instructions are easy to follow and tell the user exactly how to properly mix the scones without making the scones tough.
The mix is expensive to purchase. I bought my bag from Echo Hill Country Store for $6.77. However, the end product was well worth the price. I added a half cup of chocolate chips to my batch and covered the scones with sugar before baking. When finished, I had the most delicious scones I've ever tasted.
I'm not one to ever rate a product with a perfect score, but these King Arthur Flour's English Cream Tea Scones Mix are so incredibly delicious, so rich and creamy, that I'll never buy another brand for my family and friends.
