Buttermilk drop biscuits can be made with fresh buttermilk or with dried buttermilk. Either way, the biscuits taste delicious and are great for serving alongside of dinner or breakfast meals.

Yield: 12 biscuits

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 17 minutes

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp shortening
  • 1 cup buttermilk, cold or room temperature
